Inditex reinforces Oysho in Belgium with a flagship store in Brussels

The group is already present in this country with a big distribution network of 76 establishments.

Inditex keeps reinforcing its chain in the international market. The Galician giant, number one in the fashion distribution worldwide, has just set in a new establishment of Oysho in Brussels, the capital of Belgium.

The establishment is located in Avenue Louise, 26; and possess a commercial area of 300 square meters. Last year, Oysho opened its first store in the Belgian market, in Knokke (Occidental Flanders).

Inditex is present in this country with a big distribution network of 76 establishments. There are exactly 27 stores of Zara, 8 of Pull&Bear, 22 of Massimo Dutti, 10 of Bershka and 8 of Zara Home.

The Oysho phenomenon

Although the sales weight of Oysho, which was founded in 2001, is still small within all the group profitability, with only the 2,19% in total (ahead of the 0,35% of Uterqüe and behind the 3,18% of Zara Home); the chain has become one of the focal points for Inditex in the following years. The company registered a volume of business in 2015 of 452 million of Euros, an 8,7% more than the previous year.

The lingerie concept of the Galician giant kept increasing its profits along 2016. Oysho closed the fiscal year with an EBIT (Earnings Before Interests and Taxes) of 70 million Euros, which represented a 2% increase over 2014.

Inditex, which also operates with ZaraZara HomeBershkaStradivariusMassimo DuttiPull&Bear and Uterqüe; has more than 7.013 stores spread out in ninety countries of the five continents.

Inditex closed the fiscal year 2015 with a turnover of 20.900 million Euros, which constitutes a 15,4% increase over 2014, and obtained a net result of 2.875 million Euros (a 15% higher). Thanks to the expansion of its store network, it was the first time that the Galician company exceeded the turnover of 20.000 million Euros.
